The Tigers were at home on Saturday taking on the Lawrence North Wildcats in a doubleheader. After a fantastic end to the Varsity and Freshman games, the JV team came out hot from the first kick off. The Tigers scored on their first two possessions: one by Frank Fessenden and another by DJ Radford. After giving up a couple of big plays and a touchdown on defense, the Tigers settled in for the rest of the half, only giving up 6 points and getting a fumble recovery by Hunter Donoho and an interception by Cam Haag. After the score by the wildcats, the offense responded with another DJ Radford touchdown. With the first half dwindling, the JV Tigers went for it on 4th down on 3-yard line with eight seconds remaining and scored on a short route from Kellen Miller to Max Hopkins. After halftime, the Tigers stayed hot, forcing 3-and-outs and getting the ball to the offense. Again, the offense responded with another touchdown by Max Hopkins and a rushing touchdown by Luke Niedrach to make the score 42-6. To finish the game, Dawson Gustin secured an interception to stop any momentum the Wildcats were trying to get back. Next week, your JV Tigers will be at home facing the Noblesville Millers at 10am. Go Tigers!
