Tigers Varsity Baseball Drops Season Finale at Brownsburg 4-1

The #2 Fishers Tigers Varsity Baseball Team (23-5/12-2) dropped the regular season finale 4-1 at the Brownsburg Bulldogs. The Tigers could not get anything going offensively leaving 9 runners on base. On the other side of the field, 8 of the 9 Bulldog hits came with 2-outs to score their 4 runs. Trevor Hall scored the Tigers loan run when Mayo Fernandez singled to right and the Bulldog infielders misplayed the throw back into the infield. Brady Carman led the Tigers with 2 hits and a hit by pitch. Zander Carnahan, Luke Cherry, Carter Strole, and Fernandez all had 1 hit. Hayden Werner (4-2) suffered the loss on the mound. Werner pitched 5 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 9 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Quinn Distler pitched 1 scoreless inning in relief. The Tigers finish the regular season with 20+ wins for the 8th time in school history and the 6th time in the last 8 seasons. The Tigers also won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference for the 4th time in the last 8 seasons. The Tigers turn their attention to Sectional 8 where they will play their rival, the Southeastern Royals, at 5:30pm at Carmel’s Hartman Field.
