The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red team (9-12-1/6-9) jumped out to an early lead but couldn’t quite hold on as the Brownsburg Bulldogs made a comeback to secure an 8-5 victory. The Tigers outhit the Bulldogs, but a string of walks caused the Tigers’ downfall. Vinny Pecoraro led off the game with a double and eventually scored on an RBI fielder’s choice from Andrew Baldini. Parker Congdon later singled to drive in Baldini. Blake Wilson doubled in the 2nd and Asher Nelson provided an RBI single to help push the lead to 4-2 after the 2nd inning. Wilson also reached on a fielder’s choice in the 3rd that allowed courtesy runner Carter Davis to score. However, those 5 runs were all the Tigers could collect. Fishers used six pitchers on the night. Max Meyer and Alex Ellis both pitched scoreless innings. Blake Wilson recorded two strikeouts during his 6th inning outing. Dylan Brack took the loss as he allowed 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Tigers defense worked well on the night as they recorded two double plays – both started by third baseman Asher Nelson.
