Jordan Shows Power In Fishers Varsity Tigers Loss To Cascade Varsity Cadets

Kendall Jordan hit two home runs and drove in three, but Fishers Varsity Tigers lost to Cascade Varsity Cadets 16-8 on Saturday. Kendall Jordan homered in the third and first innings. Cascade Varsity Cadets opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Cascade Varsity Cadets first got on the board when Lacie Godby singled, scoring two runs. Fishers Varsity Tigers scored one run in the bottom of the first on a solo home run to center field by Kendall Jordan. Fishers Varsity Tigers took the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the third thanks to home runs by Azstryd Alexander, and Kendall Jordan. Cascade Varsity Cadets flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on seven hits to take the lead, 8-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Lacie Godby that drove in two. Kate Murray singled to center field, which helped Fishers Varsity Tigers tie the game at eight in the bottom of the fifth. Cascade Varsity Cadets took the lead, 10-8, in the top of the sixth thanks to singles by Grace Parks, and Suzy Moore. Cascade Varsity Cadets scored six runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. Ava Allen singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Kate Murray induced Macey Pugh to hit into a fielder's choice, but three runs scored. Grace Parks earned the win for Cascade Varsity Cadets. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none. Frankie Jackson took the loss for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs (two earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking none. Kate Murray started in the circle for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The pitcher gave up 11 hits and 10 runs (six earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out four and walking none. Grace Gray led things off in the circle for Cascade Varsity Cadets. The starting pitcher surrendered 10 hits and eight runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking none. Fishers Varsity Tigers accumulated 12 hits in the game. Kate Murray and Hailey Kinder each collected multiple hits for Fishers Varsity Tigers. Jordan 4-4 2HR 3RBI, KInder 2-4, Murray 2-4 2RBI, Alexander 1-4 HR, Cook 1-4, Clayton 1-4, Shockley 1-4 RBI. Fishers Varsity Tigers play at home on Monday against Franklin Central in their next game.
