Tigers Varsity Baseball Wins Big On Senior Night

The #3 Fishers Tigers Varsity Baseball Team (18-4/9-1) defeated the New Castle Trojans 12-2 in 6 innings on Senior Night. The Tigers used 6 different senior pitchers. All 9 senior batters contributed at least a hit or an RBI with 8 different batters having at least 1 hit and 8 different batters having at least 1 RBI. The Tigers scored 2 runs in the 1st, 2 in the 3rd, 6 in the 4th, and 2 in the 6th to walkoff the Trojans via the 10-run rule. Huston Dunn led the offense with a 3-4 night including 2 doubles, an RBI, and 3 runs scored. Deagan Repp also had 3 hits with a 3-3 night that included an RBI, a walk, and 2 runs scored. Zander Carnahan led the Tigers with 3RBI finishing with 2 hits including a triple. Luke Cherry and Jase Ruggles both had a double, a single, and an RBI. Collin Hebert, Jace Johnson, and Letrell Robbins all finished with 1 hit. Hebert picked up 2 RBI, and Trevor Hall and Johnson both had 1 RBI. Reid Garber (4-0) started the game and pitched the 1st inning allowing 1 hit while striking out 1. Grant Gearhart, Osney Oberto, Hayden Wilson, Zach Mason, and Quinn Distler all pitched 1 inning in relief. Gearhart, Oberto, and Mason had 2 strikeouts each. Distler struck out 1. Wilson allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits, and Distler allowed 1 unearned run. The Tigers return to action on Monday when they travel to Yorktown at 6:30pm.
