The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red team (4-9/3-6) won the first game of the conference series 12-11 over the Southeastern Royals with a walk-off single by Andrew Baldini. The Royals loaded the bases in the top of the 1st, but Blake Wilson and the defense were able to escape without damage. The Tigers responded with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning highlighted by RBI singles from Baldini and Grant Wolf. Southeastern would again load the bases in the 2nd, but this time they were able to drive in 2 runs. Fishers answered right back as Sean Frey hit a ball that bounced off the left field fence to drive in Ethan Buelt. With 2 outs in the top of the 3rd, the Royals would string together a couple hits and walks to tie the score at 5 midway through 3. An error in the bottom of the 3rd with bases loaded allowed the Tigers to score 3 runs and regain the lead at 9-5. But a wild pitch and a double with guys at 2nd and 3rd brought the Royals closer to make the score 9-8. In the bottom of the 4th, Buelt laced a triple in the gap to score Asher Nelson. But Southeastern again answered back and tied the game midway through the 5th inning. The relief pitchers settled in for both teams and provided the only 1-2-3 innings in the bottom of the 5th and the top of the 6th. With a tie game going into the bottom of the 6th inning, Micah Moore was hit by a pitch. He eventually stole 2nd and 3rd before Grant Wolf singled to the left side to give the Tigers an 11-10 lead. A sacrifice fly in the top of the 7th would keep the game going. In the bottom of the 7th, Frey singled to left field, but the ball got past the left fielder and Frey ended up on 3rd. Two batters later, Baldini laced a ball down the right field line to score Frey and set off the celebration with varsity and Silver players joining in after returning home from their victories. Baldini also earned the win on the mound as he pitched the 7th inning for Fishers.
