The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red team (3-9/2-6) were undone by two bad innings in a loss to the Pendleton Heights Arabians by a score of 11-8. The Tigers scored in 6 out of the 7 innings, but a 3-run 1st inning and a 7-run 4th inning allowed the Arabians to pull away. Vinny Pecoraro scored the first run of the game as he advanced home on a dropped third strike. Micah Moore provided excitement in the top of the 2nd as he stole home on the throw back from the catcher. The Tigers continued to play aggressively as Sean Frey stole 3rd and then scored on a bad throw from the catcher. Asher Nelson doubled in the top of the 4th to drive in Carter Davis before the Tigers added two more runs to take a 6-3 lead midway through the game. The Arabians answered back with 7 runs to take the lead. Fishers would continue to fight but couldn’t work all the way back. The Tigers deployed a bullpen game as each pitcher threw 1 inning. Max Meyer took the loss for the Tigers while Andrew Baldini, Caleb Compton, and Dylan Brack pitched shutout innings.
