Varsity vs Yorktown High School Kate Murray was dominant in the circle, as the hurler rang up 11 strikeouts in Fishers Varsity Tigers's 6-0 victory over Yorktown Varsity Tigers on Thursday. Kate Murray gave up four hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking one. Fishers Varsity Tigers opened the scoring in the second after Cate Summerfield singled, scoring two runs. Fishers Varsity Tigers scored two runs in the top of the sixth on a home run to center field by Adrianne Cook. Olivia Jones took the loss for Yorktown Varsity Tigers. The hurler went seven innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out five and walking two. Fishers Varsity Tigers collected 10 hits in the game. Cate Summerfield, Adrianne Cook, and Kendall Jordan each collected two hits for Fishers Varsity Tigers. Adrianne Cook went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Brooke Clayton stole two bases. Fishers Varsity Tigers stole four bases in the game. Fishers Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kennedy Shockley had the most chances in the field with 11. Claire Hazen and Olivia Jones each collected two hits for Yorktown Varsity Tigers. Yorktown Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game.
