The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red team (2-5/1-4) took a lead late in the game only to see it slip away in a 6-3 defeat to the Noblesville Millers. Both starting pitchers were excellent as Blake Wilson went 5 innings allowing only 3 hits that lead to 1 earned run to go along with 4 strikeouts. The Tigers took the early lead in the top of the 2nd on a 2-out RBI double from Micah Moore to score Connor Hackworth who had reached with his own 2-out hit. The Millers eventually tied the game in the bottom of the 5th inning, but the Tigers answered right back which started most of the action for the night. Vinny Pecoraro worked a leadoff walk in the top of the 6th inning. Sean Frey attempted a sacrifice bunt but the Miller pitched could not field it cleanly. Carter Davis followed suit with his own sacrifice bunt, but this one got away from the 1st basemen and allowed both Pecoraro and Frey to score to give the Tigers a 3-1 lead. Fishers would load the bases with 1 out but couldn’t plate any more runs. In the bottom of the 6th, the first two Millers reached on errors and the Tigers could not contain the damage. This eventually turned into 5 unearned runs in the inning and a Miller victory.
