JV2 Baseball Start Slow Lose to Noblesville 10-4

Fishers Tigers JV Silver (5-1) lost their first game of the season to Noblesville JV Gold by a score of 10-4. The Tigers fell behind early when they gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st. In the top half of the inning Kellan Ferguson lead the game off with a shot to left center field for a double. On a ball 4 wild pitch he advanced to 3rd giving the Tigers runners on 1st and 3rd until the Tiger runner at 1st gets caught leaving early resulting in a play at the plate which the runner was called out. The Tigers had Cooper Yeakle on the mound and after a leadoff single the Tigers commit 2 errors and give up 3 walks and a hit batter to give up 3 runs. After a 2 out single by Eli Poisel and after 2 wild pitches the Tigers scored to make the game 3-1 in the second. In the bottom half the Millers hit 2 singles and a walk to load the bases when a double to right center plated 3 more runs to make it 6-1. Drew Spicer came up throwing and made a great throw to catch the runner trying to stretch for a triple. After getting 3 more runs in the 3rd and the score 9-1 the Tigers battled in the last 3 ½ innings. After singles by Hayden Dowell and Cullen Wolf and Jackson Pinchouck walk, Aaron Einsfeld came up and knocked a 2 strike 2RBI single up the middle. The Tigers got one more run in the top of the 7th but fall short in the end. Kellan Ferguson lead the team going 2-2 with a double. Dowell, Wolf, Einsfeld, and Poisel all added hits on the night. Cooper Yeakle took his first loss of the season pitching 2 innings giving up 6 runs on 5 hits while striking out 5. Will Koon pitched 3 strong innings giving up 3 runs on 4 hits with a strikeout. Presston Tidwell had a strong night in relief pitching 1 inning giving up 1 run on 2 hits with 2 strikeouts.
