Fishers Varsity Tigers lost to Center Grove Varsity Trojans 6-1 on Tuesday. Center Grove Varsity Trojans were the first to get on the board in the first when B Groppel singled, scoring one run. Center Grove Varsity Trojans added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after A Wolff singled to center field, B Groppel doubled to center field, and T Barrett singled to right field, each scoring one run. A Wolff earned the win for Center Grove Varsity Trojans. The starter surrendered three hits and one run over six innings, striking out 10 and walking one. Kate Murray took the loss for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The hurler went six innings, surrendering six runs on nine hits, striking out eight and walking four. With her eight strikeouts, Murray surpassed 400 career strikeouts. Kennedy Shockley led Fishers Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-1 on the day. Kennedy Shockley, Hailey Kinder, and Frankie Jackson each collected one hit for Fishers Varsity Tigers. Fishers Varsity Tigers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cate Summerfield made the most plays with eight. Fishers Varsity Tigers welcome Harrison on Wednesday for their next game.
