Hoosier Crossroads Conference Boys Cross Country Athlete of the Year Senior Sam Quagliaroli has been selected by HCC Head Cross Country Boys coaches as the 2024 HCC “Athlete of the Year.” Quagliaroli won the IHSAA individual state champ- ionship with a course record 14:46.81. He was also named the prestigious Charles F. Maas Mental Attitude Award recipient. In addition, Quagliaroli was the individual champ- ion at the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Meet while setting a new Meet Record (at Chinquapin Ridge) of 15:05.0 which shattered the previous record by almost 10 seconds. Quagliaroli also claimed individual championships at the Hamilton County Meet, the IHSAA Sectional Meet and the IHSAA Regional Meet. At the Sectional Meet, Quagliaroli set a Sectional and course record of 14:46.3. Sam has been named to the IATCCC Boys Cross Country Academic All State team and is the Fishers High School 5k record holder with a time of 14:46.3.
