Fishers High School Names Zach Ellsworth Head Wrestling Coach Fishers High School Athletics is excited to announce Zach Ellsworth as the new Head Coach of the Fishers High School Wrestling program. Originally from northeast Ohio, Ellsworth has called Fishers home since 2016. He is married to a Fishers High School graduate and has built strong connections throughout the community both through wrestling and his work with local families. Ellsworth began coaching wrestling in Hamilton Southeastern Schools in 2018, joining the staff at Riverside Junior High as an assistant coach. In 2020, he was named Riverside’s head wrestling coach, a position that has allowed him to work closely with athletes as they develop within the Fishers wrestling program. Away from the mat, Ellsworth has served as the Associate Minister at Prairie View Christian Church since moving to Fishers in 2016. He and his wife have three children, and he has also spent several seasons volunteering as a coach with Mudsock Youth Athletics. “I am thankful to live and work and raise my family in Fishers. And I am just as thankful and excited for the opportunity I have to contribute to this wonderful community through the young men and women of the FHS wrestling program. The sport of wrestling and the coaches I’ve had along the way have been so important to who I am as a person—it’s a tremendous privilege to be given the opportunity to step into that role at Fishers High School.” Ellsworth’s familiarity with Fishers, experience developing wrestlers at the junior high level, and commitment to serving young people provide a strong foundation as he takes the next step in leading the Tigers.
