JV1 Red Baseball Shuts Out Lafayette Jeff 10-0

The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red (9–7, 6–6 HCC) stayed hot offensively on Friday night, cruising to a 10–0 win over Lafayette Jeff at Loeb Stadium. The Tigers tallied eight hits on the night, including three extra-base hits, while limiting the Bronchos to just two hits in a complete team effort. Fishers struck first in the top of the second inning. With two outs, Eli Poisel delivered a clutch double that brought home the game’s first two runs. The Tigers added to their lead in the third inning when Thomas Downey-Underwood found the gap for a two-run single, extending the advantage to 4–0. The game was put out of reach in the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, Drake Carnahan came through with a decisive double, driving in multiple runs and pushing the lead to 10–0. On the mound, Hayden Dowell turned in an outstanding performance to earn the win. He threw five strong innings, allowing just three hits while striking out nine. Owen Porter closed out the game, working through a pair of walks but preserving the shutout and adding two strikeouts.
