Fishers Varsity Tigers Secure Win Against Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies

Fishers Varsity Tigers topped Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies 9-7 on Thursday. Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after McKenzie Jackson singled, scoring one run, and Lily Cash doubled, scoring two runs. Fishers Varsity Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the first on a home run to center field by Anna McGrath. A ground out by Heather Crays extended the Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies lead to 4-2 in the top of the second inning. Fishers Varsity Tigers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Cate Summerfield tripled down the left field line, Kennedy Shockley grounded into a fielder's choice, and Adrianne Cook singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Kaitlyn Schakel walked, which helped Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies tie the game at five in the top of the third. Fishers Varsity Tigers captured the lead, 9-5, in the bottom of the fifth when Grace Walterman singled, scoring one run, Kennedy Shockley singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run. Ellie Engle hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the sixth for the Hamilton Heights Varsity Huskies.
