The Fishers Tigers Varsity Baseball Team (8-12/4-4) lost to Carmel 12-0 in 5 innings. Once again, the Tigers offense was stagnant, managing only 3 hits: Owen Lukac’s single in the 1st, Henry Cherry’s single in the 3rd, and Cullen Wolf’s double in the 5th. Starting pitcher Cooper Yeakle (0-1) had a great first 2 innings in his Varsity spot start, but Carmel started hitting Yeakle in the 3rd. Yeakle pitched 2.1 innings, allowed 6 earned runs on 6 hits with 2 strikeouts, a walk, and a hit batter. Miles Tebben pitched 1.1 innings in relief. His line was 4 earned runs on 4 hits with 1 strikeout and 2 walks. Eli Poisel pitched 0.1 innings and allowed 0 earned runs on 1 hit with 1 strikeout. Grant Wolf pitched a scoreless 5th and final inning. Wolf recorded 1 strikeout. The Tigers are struggling to find their bats, as they have only scored 1 run on 9 hits over the past 3 games. The Tigers return to HCC play on Wednesday when they travel to Avon for a 6:30pm start.
