The Fishers Tigers Varsity Baseball Team (8-11/4-4) lost to Greenfield-Central Cougars 3-0 Friday night. The Tigers fell behind 1-0 in the top of the 1st and never found rhythm offensively. The Cougars scored a run in each the 1st, 3rd, and 6th. The Tigers threatened with bases loaded in the 2nd and had runners in scoring position in the 3rd, 6th, and 7th, but they could not push across a run. The Tigers only had 4 hits in the game. Carter Strole and Isaac Fernandez each had a double. Owen Lukac and Asher Nelson both had singles. Luke Benefiel (0-3) pitched 5 innings in the loss. Benefiel allowed 1 earned run on 1 hit with 5 strikeouts, but Benefiel walked 6 and hit 1 batter. Miles Tebben threw 2 innings in relief allowing 0 earned runs on 2 hits with 4 strikeouts, 1 walk, and 2 hit batters. The Tigers return to action on Monday when they host Carmel at 6:30pm.
