Bats Stymied For Both Teams As Fishers Varsity Tigers Loses To Logansport Varsity Berries

Both teams were strong in the circle on Saturday, but Logansport Varsity Berries was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Fishers Varsity Tigers. Frankie Jackson started the game for Fishers Varsity Tigers and recorded 12 outs. Fishers Varsity Tigers were the first to get on the board in the third when Kennedy Shockley singled, scoring one run. Logansport Varsity Berries captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third after Adrienne Scott tripled to center field, and Gracie Risley singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Brooklynn Hagerty earned the win for Logansport Varsity Berries. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 18 and walking two. Frankie Jackson took the loss for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The righty went four innings, surrendering two runs on five hits, striking out four and walking none. Kennedy Shockley led Fishers Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-3 on the day. Fishers Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Anna McGrath had the most chances in the field with eight.
