The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red (3–2, 2–2 HCC) came up just short Wednesday night, falling to the Noblesville Millers 8–5 despite outhitting Noblesville 9–5 on the evening. Fishers grabbed momentum early, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. Hayden Dowell and Cullen Wolf both worked walks, and Henry Cherry followed with a single to load the bases. Dowell crossed the plate on a passed ball, and courtesy runner Preston Tidwell showcased heads up base running by scoring on the throw to first following a dropped third strike. Noblesville chipped away throughout the middle innings, methodically plating runs to take a 4–2 lead heading into the fifth. The Tigers responded with their biggest offensive outburst of the game in the top of the fifth. Jackson Pinchouck led off with a single before Dowell drew his second walk of the game. Eli Poisel drove a deep fly ball to center field that advanced Pinchouck to third, and he later scored as Dowell was caught in a rundown trying to extend the play. Cherry then delivered a clutch triple into the right center field gap, and Wolf followed with an RBI hit to tie the game. Kellen Ferguson capped the rally with an RBI single, giving Fishers a 5–4 advantage. Noblesville answered in the bottom of the sixth with four runs to regain the lead. The Tigers continued to battle, bringing the tying run to the plate in the top of the seventh, but were unable to produce a final rally. Cooper Yeakle got the start on the mound for Fishers and did not factor into the decision. He allowed three hits over 3.1 innings, surrendering four runs while striking out three. Yeakle consistently worked out of traffic to limit further damage. Poisel took the loss in relief, throwing two innings while allowing two hits and one earned run, striking out three in the process.
