Fishers Varsity Tigers defeated Boonville Varsity Pioneers 4-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Bella Balbo and CJ Smock each pitched for Fishers Varsity Tigers in the game. Bella Balbo induced a groundout from Mia Clamme to get the last out. Cate Summerfield collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Cate Summerfield doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning. A single by Kennedy Shockley put Fishers Varsity Tigers on the board in the bottom of the third. CJ Smock earned the win for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Nevaeh Wall took the loss for Boonville Varsity Pioneers. The hurler went four innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking one. Bella Balbo collected the save.
