Varsity Volleyball defeated Pendleton Heights, 3-1, Monday night: 25-16, 21-25, 25-16, 25-17. The match is the first of three in four days for the Tigers, who will host Franklin Central Tuesday and then Avon Thursday.
“We have a big week ahead of us, ” said Head Coach Steven Peek. “We have things we’re working to do more consistently, and we have plenty of opportunities against strong opponents this week. Now is the time in the season to start knowing who are.”
The Tigers know seniors will play crucial roles for them this season. Setter Camryn Haworth had 45 assists in four sets, dishing the ball to fellow seniors Mikayla Christiansen (13 kills), Emily Waldrop (13), and Jada Allen (12).
Junior libero Samantha Perdue led the team with 17 digs, while Waldrop and Haworth supported with 12 and 11, respectively.
The three also combined for six aces with junior Mia Fehlinger serving two aces of her own.
Tuesday’s Varsity match versus Franklin Central will be the Tigers’ third conference match of the season and will begin at 7 p.m.
