Fishers Volleyball stumbled in set 1 but responded confidently to comeback and defeat Noblesville, 3-1: 23-25, 25-13, 25-13, 25-18.
“It’s the playoffs, and you’re going to get everyone’s best,” said Fishers Head Coach Steven Peek. “Noblesville was prepared for us, and it was up to us to adapt and keep our season going. Tonight’s win was a great way to build some momentum heading into Saturday, and our whole coaching staff was thrilled by the girls’ high energy tonight.”
The Tigers had many contributors offensively, led by senior Emily Waldrop’s 20 kills on 25 attempts. She was supported by senior Mikayla Christiansen (14 kills), sophomore Ava Vickers (11), and senior Jada Allen (9).
Senior Camryn Haworth captained a robust offense and tallied 48 assists. She also contributed nine digs, five kills, four blocks, and one ace.
Junior libero Samantha Perdue was a star in the back row tonight. She led Fishers with 16 digs and also had three key aces, including one to put the Tigers up, 21-16, in set 4. Waldrop was second on the team with 14 digs and was crucial in Noblesville’s pin hitters not creating any Miller momentum.
Fishers plays Zionsville in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton Southeastern.
