After losing leads and dropping the first 2 games of the series, the Fishers Tigers Varsity Baseball team (5-7/1-3) continued swinging their hot bats and won Game 3 by a score of 10-1 over the Noblesville Millers. Despite finishing the week at 2-2, the Tigers scored 39 runs on 48 hits in 4 games this week.
Nick Lukac continued to swing a hot bat finishing 3-4 with a homerun (2nd of season), double, and 2 RBI. Lukac finished the past 4 game stretch hitting 11-19 (.579) with 2 homeruns, 2 triples, 4 doubles, 5 RBI, and 2 walks.
JP Preston and Grant Whetsel both had a 2-hit game. Preston’s 2-hits included a triple. Kaid Muth added a triple and an RBI, and Daniel Owens delivered a 2-run double for the Tigers. Charlie Walker finished with a hit and 2 RBI, while Dom Oliverio and Ethan Davies both added RBI singles.
Tristan Baker (1-1) earned the victory on the mound. Baker cooled off the hot Millers (who had scored 22 runs in 1st two games of series). Baker held the Millers to 5 hits and 1 earned run, while striking out 8.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Mt. Vernon for a 6pm start.
