The Tigers scored their only 2 runs within the first 3 batters of the game. JJ Woolwine was hit by a pitch to lead things off. Woolwine stole 2nd and advanced to 3rd on Lukac’s single to left centerfield. After Lukac stole 2nd to put runners at 2nd and 3rd, Kiel Brenczewski delivered an RBI single to left to score Woolwine. Lukac was held at 3rd on the play as the throw from leftfield went all the way to home plate. Brenczewski attempted to take 2nd base on the throw home, but was thrown out by the catcher. Lukac raced home as Brenczewski was thrown out for the Tigers 2nd run. The Tigers would be held hitless the rest of the game with only 2 more base runners reaching, one on a dropped 3rd strike and one on an error.
The Tigers return to action this weekend when they travel to Tennessee for their annual Spring Break Trip. The Tigers will play 4 games in 2 days on their trip: Beech (TN) and Beavercreek (OH) on Friday and Collierville (TN) and Bob Jones (AL) on Saturday.
