Fishers began this season with a 3-0 sweep at Carmel: 25-18, 25-22, 25-21. In all three sets, the Tigers used consistent serve-receive to stay with the Greyhounds before taking mid-set leads. Fishers was aced only once during the match
An experienced team, many seniors had standout performances. Camryn Haworth had 28 assists, 14 digs, three kills, 1.5 blocks and one ace. Emily Waldrop also had 14 digs while leading all attackers with 10 kills. Jada Allen was close behind with nine kills.
Three upperclassmen defensive specialists formed a strong backbone for the Tigers. Junior Samantha Perdue held down the left-back position with 11 digs and two assists. Junior Mia Fehlinger had nine digs, and senior Jill Snyder had seven.
The Fishers program will take two paths to its next matches: Varsity & JV head to Lawrence Central Tuesday, while the Freshman team plays a four-team round-robin at Noblesville the same day.
