Walking into White River Elementary Soccer Complex the Lady Tigers knew what they were up against. The game started with the ladies battling tough and not giving the Millers much space to operate. Gia Tumber had some great moves to lose defenders and kindled the fires of our attack. Lexie Pritchett and Tessa Pettygrove went box to box to keep the Millers working to cover them. Olivia Weyer and Reagan McMullen stood firm as outside backs. Anna Williams made great runs up top and pressured the defensive line. Eliza Uliczny had some great stop at goal. Samira Lee stepped into the 6 position and was able to crush the Millers’ attack. Maddie Meier and Jaidin Millsaps were able to break down the defense that provided numerous opportunities at goal. The half ended with Lady Tigers down one and they started the 2nd with fire in their bellies. Tseganesh Gregg worked very hard to win balsl back and distribute to the wings. Emma Dean and Rylan Christianson were successful at attacking up the sides. Caydence Wood had some runs into the attacking third. Maddie Poppe was putting the hammer down on the Millers attack. As usual the tandem of Taylor Gerardot and Brooklyn Ferrell were solid in the back. Ashley Jackson and Riley Brinson swapped out the fullbacks and locked up the wing attack. Sarah Bennett and Alexa Denney shared responsibility in the goal and had several stops and distributed well out wide. It was a tough battle for the ladies and unfortunately as hard as they worked they still came out on the wrong side of the score. The Silver Lady Tigers will regroup and prepare for the Mudsock game. Stay safe.
