On a night that saw wind, cold and rain the Silver Lady Tigers played host to the Shamrocks of Westfield. The Ladies were all fired up to show off their pink for Breast Cancer Awareness, but were all business when the whistle blew. From the start Gia Tumber and Caydence Wood were challenging the Rocks backline. Raegan McMullen and Tessa Pettygrove were making threatening runs down the line to produce effective crosses. Rylan Christianson and Anna Williams held the center of the field in check and released balls to the wings with precision. Brooklyn Ferrell with phenomenal skill shut down all Westfield attacks into the 18. Riley Brinson had numerous occasions on set pieces to put the ball into score positions. Audrey McGovern held her own on the wing and made life difficult for the Rock attack. Ashley Jackson feeling confident in her ability pushed forward in the attack and produced opportunities for the forwards. Alexa Denney started in goal and finished the half without any issues. Second half the Silver team came out roaring for more. Immediately Maddie Meier was able to get the ball forward for Maddie Poppe to run on for shot on goal. Jaidin Millsaps used her usual skill on the ball to allude Westfield defenders and break free for the goal. It was Samira Lee who with her silky moves found herself in front of the goal with the ball at her feet and just a goalie to stop her. Tigers took a 1-0 lead with plenty of time on clock for a Westfield comeback. On this night Taylor Gerardot and Tseganesh Gregg locked down the midfield and were not about to let the Rocks steal this victory. Lexie Pritchett and Emma Dean kept the streak alive with penetrating runs to the flags. Olivia Weyer was feeling physical and kept Westfield tracking back toward their goal. Eliza Uliczny handled the few Westfield threats with poise and confidence. Silver Lady Tigers finish the year on a high note. Thank you ladies for a awesome season. Stay safe Tiger Nation.
