The Fishers Tigers JV Red team (4-8/1-4) fell behind early and lost to the Pendleton Heights Arabians by a score of 9-1 on Tuesday night. Grant Moritz led the Tigers with two hits including a double, but the rest of the offense was not able to consistently keep up with the Arabians.
Jack Backofen started for the Tigers and was perfect through the first 2 innings. Pendleton Heights was able to take the lead in the bottom of the 3rd and never looked back. A walk, two consecutive bunts, and another walk gave the Arabians the early lead which they would never relinquish.
The Tigers had opportunities throughout the night, but weren’t able to capitalize. Cam Plew was able to reach base on a fielder’s choice in the top of the 6th inning and eventually advance to 2nd base on a passed ball before Joey Brenczewski’s double brought in the only run of the night for Fishers.
