Yesterday Fishers girls XC competed in the IHSAA Semi-State held in Fort Wayne on the campus of IPFW. It was a cold, wet, and windy day, but that did not stop the Tigers. Fort Wayne Carroll ran a dominating race to take the Semi-state title, but the Tigers placed an impressive 2nd place out of 20 teams to qualify for the State Finals next Saturday. It was a great team effort as our top 5 scorers were all within 28 seconds of one another. Senior Hannah Sale led the way placing 24th overall running a time of 19:15. She was followed by Abby Carter and Vera Schafer in 25th and 26th respectively. Our #4 and 5 runners were Elizabeth Barrett and Corinne Yorkman in 38th and 40th. Also competing for the Tigers were Emma Gillespie in 54th and Laura Masoni in 91st. Full results are attached.
