On a perfect night for soccer the Silver Lady Tigers stepped on the the new turf at the FHS football stadium to face the Eagles of Zionsville. Right from the start the Tigers dominated play. Emily Brandenburg made numerous attacks in the final third. While Dani Joseph kept the Eagles defensive line spread out across the width of the field. The Eagles tried to soar high, but at the 25 minute mark, Avery Wegner clipped their wings with a perfectly chipped shot over the goalie. Kristen Rummel came in and kept the outside mids working to contain her runs up the field. Olivia Young swapped into the back line and shut down the Eagles wide game. Ashley Rettig and Hannah Geske kept the Eagles grounded until Hannah broke free of their talons and put another ball past the goalie. Mackenzie Pope and Jacklyn Frey kept the Eagles in their nest by shutting down their attack. Maria Okuszki walked off the field with a clean sheet and handed the responsibility to Jessica Halamka.

The second half was more of the Tigers dominance. Rachel Fulton played upfront and pressured the back line and had some good penetrating runs into the box. Taylor Hamilton kept the attack alive on the wing while Hannah Moore played a possession game in the middle. At the 23 minute mark Emma Gellenbeck found the Eagle goalie far from her nest and ruffled her feathers with a perfectly placed ball in the net. With the Eagles losing altitude Ella Voight was able to dribble deep into their territory and play keep away with her teammates. Navaeh Repp played a strong game by not allowing the Eagles to take off and score any goals as an outside defender. Great game ladies! Next game Westfield, today.
