The Fishers Tigers traveled to Westfield for the opening round of the IHSAA Sectional 4. The Tigers offense struggled to consistently gain ground throughout the game and the Rocks were able to rack up over 245 yards rushing and 400 yards of total offense.

The Fishers Tigers received the opening kickoff and put together a solid drive to start the game. A tipped pass in the end zone led to a Shamrocks interception and stopped the Tigers drive. The Rocks found the end zone after three Tiger defenders bounced off the receiver and Mason Piening was able to score from 64 yards out. The Tigers had to punt and the Rocks again scored early in the 2nd quarter on a 1 yard run by Eli Patchett.

The Fishers offense struggled to gain yards in the second quarter as they were ultimately forced to punt four times. Westfield converted and was able to stretch the lead to 28-0 at halftime with a 51 yard run by Micah Hauser and a 22 yard touchdown pass from Camden Simons to Dane Wheeler.

The Tigers came out and tried to make a comeback early in the third quarter. Fishers forced a short punt and drove down to the red zone. A touchdown was taken off the board on a holding penalty before the Tigers fumbled right at the goal line. Geoffrey Brown recovered a fumble two plays later but the offense couldn’t convert and turned the ball over on downs. Westfield was again forced to punt and Brown blocked it allowing Joey Slimak to return it for a touchdown.

The Rocks put together a long drive including a conversion on 4th down to eventually extend the lead to 35-7 with a 4 yard score by Patchett. The Tigers put together a quick drive aided by a personal foul penalty before Marcux Roux found Jeffrey Simmons in the back of the end zone for a 3 yard touchdown pass. Midway through the 4th quarter, Micah Hauser found the end zone on the defensive end with a 16 yard interception return.
