The Fishers JV Boys Basketball team defeated Indianapolis Arsenal Technical on Tuesday night by a score of 56-40. On the road in a hostile environment the Tigers proved they were up to the challenge from the onset forcing the host Titans into 5 quick turnovers on the back of a relentless full-court press which keyed their 13-6 lead after the first quarter of play. In the 2nd quarter, Fishers ramped the intensity up another notch continuing to wreak havoc with their smothering defensive pressure en route to a 21-8 advantage in the period giving the Tigers a 34-14 lead going into halftime. The two teams would basically trade baskets the rest of the way with Arsenal Tech outscored Fishers the final 14 minutes of play but the game was never close again as the Tigers moved their record to 8-5 overall with the win. Leading the way was again Freshman Keefer Soehngen with 15 points and 4 rebounds, Max Wuensch added 15 points, and Isaac Bowman chipped in 8 points respectively.
Fishers heads back home when they host HCC Conference foe Brownsburg in the annual boys/girls double-header on Thursday, January 10 with tip-off around 7:30 pm.
