The Fishers JV Boys Basketball team beat the Anderson Indians on Tuesday night by a final score of 56-49 in the nights opening act. As has been the case for much of the season thus far, the Tigers once again found themselves in a dog fight but were ultimately able to go wire to wire for their 2nd straight win tying their best mark of the year at 3 games over .500 for the first time since the start of the new year. In the 1st half, Fishers grabbed an early advantage leading by a score of 16-13 after the 1st quarter of play but they were only able to push the margin to 5 going into halftime up 34-29. After the break, the visiting Indians would continue to punch back making a run to cut the deficit to just a bucket in the opening minutes of the 3rd quarter but the Tigers would answer with another run of their own to take a 46-39 lead into the 4th. The two teams would trade baskets the rest of the way which is all Fishers would need to secure the win 56-49. Leading the Tigers attack was Drew Turner with 13 points and 4 steals and Max Wuensch yet again provided a boost off the bench scoring 13 points to go along with 2 assists but this was a great overall team effort with 8 players scoring at least 3 points. The win moves Fishers to 11-8 on the season with just 3 games remaining on the year.
The Tigers are back in action this Friday when they host Pendleton Heights with tip-off at 6:00 pm sharp.
