The Tigers headed to the IUPUI Natatorium on Saturday, December 16, for the Christmas Classic. The energy was high and the boys raced to great results. Individual event winners included Kyle Haflich (12) in the 200 IM and 100 Back and Aaron Frollo (10) in the 500 Free. Cole VanDevender (12) won the 1-meter diving. And, the 200 Medley Relay of Kyle Haflich (12), Noah Baldwin (12), Drake Stallworth (11), and Joel Crull (12) took top honors.
In the JV contest, Fishers also beat Bloomington South by a score of 64 to 38. Individual JV winners included Bruno Kitazuka (10) in the 200 Free and 500 Free, Izzy Harding (10) in the 200 IM and 100 Breast, Pedro Yam Quinones (12) in the 100 Fly, Peyton Dewalsche (12) in the 100 Free and 100 Back. Lukas Wooster (11) took top honors in the 1-meter diving event. For the relay events, Peyton Dewalsche (12), Izzy Harding (10), Pedro Yam Quinones (12), and Sean Deimling (9) combined to win the 200 Medley Relay. The team of Sean Deimling (9), Izzy Harding (10), Bruno Kitzazuka (10), and Tyler Schwertferger (9) won the 200 Free Relay. Finally, the 400 Free Relay team of Peyton Dewalsche (12), Nic Silva (11), Tyler Schwertferger (9), and Bruno Kitazuka (10) raced to 1st. Great job to all who competed today! The Tigers will be back in action at the North Central Invitational on Thursday, December 28, at 1:00p. We’ll see you there!
