The Tigers Varsity Boys Basketball team was in action last night to face the Carmel Greyhounds in the Sectional 8 Tournament. Both teams met in the regular season and the Tigers beat the Greyhounds 49-47. In the 1st quarter, the Tigers struggled to get things going offensively. The Tigers found themselves down 15-8 at the end of the quarter. During the 2nd quarter, the Tigers fought their way back in the game. They went into half time down only five points. In the 3rd quarter, the Tigers could not get over the hump to take control of the game. Carmel still led at the end of the quarter 38-30. In the 4th quarter, the Tigers tried to make one final run but it wasn’t enough to overcome the great play of the Greyhounds. Carmel beat the FHS Tigers with a final score of 56-49. The tigers were lead in scoring by Jeremy Szilagyi who had 14 points. Terry Hicks chipped in with 13 points and 4 rebounds. Josiah Matthews had 8 points in the contest. Craig Yoho came off the bench with 6 points. The Tigers ended their season with a record of 12-12 overall and 2-4 in the conference.
