The Tigers Varsity Boys Basketball team was in action last night on the road to face the Pendleton Heights Arabians. In the 1st quarter, the Tigers came out on fire. The Tigers had it clicking on both sides of the ball. The Tigers found themselves ahead 19-9 at the end of the quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the Tigers continued their great offensive groove. FHS went into halftime with the lead 35-26. In the 3rd quarter, the Tigers continued their great get play on the offensive side with great ball movement and shot making. At the end of the quarter, the Tigers increased their lead with the score of 59-43. In the 4th quarter, the Tigers put together their best offensive quarter. FHS scored 25 points in the quarter to seal the victory over the Pendleton Heights Arabians. The Tigers won with a final score of 84-65. Josiah Matthews led the Tigers in scoring with 17 points, and 7 rebounds. Jordan Jones came off the bench and chipped in with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Terry Hicks had 12 points and 7 rebounds in the contest. Alex Szilagyi also came off the bench and had 10 points. Jeremy Szilagyi had 7 points and Jack Maller had 6 points. The Tigers are now 9-9 on the season and 2-3 in conference play. The Tigers are back in action again on the road to face the Franklin Central Flashes on February 10th with a 7:30 pm tip-off.
