Last Tuesday night the Tigers were in action at home in their final regular season game. The Tigers would host the North Central Panthers on the Tigers Senior Night. Early on the Tigers struggled to get things going on both ends of the floor. North Central came out sharp, shooting the basketball well from three-point land. The Tigers continued battle to stay in the game. At halftime the Tigers cut a 13-point lead to 5 points, the Panthers had control at the half with a score of 38-33. In the 3rd quarter the Tigers turned up the defensive intensity and held the Panthers to just 7 points in the quarter. The Tigers took the lead and never looked back. The pulled out a 6-point victory over the Panthers, with a final score of 66-60. The Tigers earned their 18th win on the season, which is the most regular season wins in the program’s history. The Tigers were led in scoring by Jeffrey Simmons who poured in 23 points. Alex Szilagyi continued his great play and chipped in with 20 points. The Varsity Tigers end the regular season with an overall record of 18-6 and 3-3 in conference play. The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday night to play in the Noblesville Sectional 8 Tournament to face the Zionsville Eagles. Game time tip-off is at 6pm.
