The Tigers Varsity Boys Basketball team was in action tonight at home to face the Arsenal Tech Titans. In the 1st quarter, the Tigers came out on fire on the offensive end of the floor putting together a 25-point quarter. The Tigers led after the quarter 25-14. In the 2nd quarter, the Tigers continued their great play and went into halftime with a 13-point lead. The Tigers led at the half 42-29. In the 3rd quarter, the Titans tried to make a run of their own but they could not overcome the Tigers impressive offensive attack. FHS still led at the end of the 3rd quarter with a score of 56-43. In the 4th quarter, the Tigers put the game away with a final score of 69-54. The Tigers had 10 players contribute points in the game. Jordan Jones led the Tigers in scoring with 13 points and 4 rebounds. Josiah Matthews had 11 points and 5 rebounds, Jeremey Szilagyi also chipped in with 11 points. Willie Jackson had 10 points and 6 rebounds in the contest. Terry Hicks had 10 points and 7 rebounds. The Tigers have fought their way back to .500 at 6-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. The Tigers are back in action at home to face conference opponent the Brownsburg Bulldogs on January 12th with a 7:30 pm tip-off.
