The Fishers JV Silver (7-6-1/3-3-1) explode for 10 runs in the 7th inning to seal the victory against New Palestine.

New Palestine jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning. Fishers then answered back with 3 runs in the top of the 3rd. Collin McPeek led off the inning with a double. Cody Thomas and Kyle Jankowski drew back-to-back walks to load the bases. Joe Hietpas then smashed a triple to left-center to clear the bases and tie the score at 3-3.

The score would remain tied until the 6th inning when Fishers would score the go-ahead run after James Gibbs reached on a walk and advanced to 3rd base on an error. He would then trot home after a past ball to move the score to 4-3.

The Tigers would then add 10 runs in the 7th inning for safe measure.

Hietpas and Jankowski each had 3 hits for Fishers. Hietpas also collected 4 RBI’s, while Evan Gilbert had 3 RBI and Brady Miller had 2 RBI.

Tate Warner led things off on the hill for Fishers He surrendered 3 runs on 3 hits striking out 4. Cody Jones threw 3 relief innings and earned the win. He surrendered 1 run and struck out 6.
