The Tigers were on the road to Zionsville this past Saturday to take on the Eagles. The offense started off a long drive ending in a Lucas Prewitt to Colin McPeek to put the tigers on the board. After a Zionsville score, the Tigers were able to answer with a Lucas Prewitt TD Pass to Andrew Colsten. Dawson Scally had a interception to stop the Eagles from scoring before half.
The game was tied at half. After a stalled offensive drive, the Tigers were able to score with an Evan Miller interception to the end zone for the third score. The teams went back and fourth with the score tied 21-21 entering the fourth quarter. The Tigers were able to get a drive going capping it off with a Lucas Prewitt Touchdown to Colin McPeek. The Eagles drove the ball and scored, however a valiant effort by the fied goal block team prevented the point after touchdown. With the score 28-27, the offense stalled out, but a Keefer Soehgen interception helped the tigers get back on offense. The offense was able to burn the clock to 9 seconds, but was unable to get a first down. The Tigers drew up a punt to draw the defense off sides and were able to achieve it with a shift. Tigers win 28-27.
This concludes the Junior Varsity season for the Tigers. The Tigers end the season with a 2 game winning streak and an overall record of 3-6. The Tigers look to use their role to help the varsity achieve a deep run in the playoffs.
