It was another shut-out night for the Tiger defense. The Fishers Freshman football team recorded their 4th shut-out of the season as the Tigers improved to 4 – 0 (2 – 0 conference) on Monday night. The only blemish on the scoreboard was a pick 6 by the HSE defense early in the third quarter. On offense the Tigers were lead by RB Kobie Martin who scored a handful of touchdowns for the Tigers. The offense had it’s share of problems with penalties again, but was able to overcome most of them with big plays from both Martin and WR Joe Syrus. QB Bennett Gorak had a number of rushing yards as well that kept drives alive throughout the game. The offensive line and FB Caulin Brown helped clear the way as the Tigers racked up 4 touchdowns in the game. The defense supported the scoring with a safety in the first quarter. Blanking the Royals throughout the rest of the game would prove to be the decisive factor in a hard hitting game. The defense recorded an interception and a fumble recovery in the game to help stop a couple of HSE drives, while also providing good field position for the offense. Overall it was a big team win and the Tigers are excited to get back on the field again this Saturday at 10a.m. to take on the Brownsburg Bulldogs. The game will be at Tigers Reynolds Stadium.
