The Fishers Freshman Boys Basketball B-Team beat Roncalli in the semi-final round of the Franklin Central B-Team Tournament this past weekend by a final score of 45-37. The Tigers came out hot running the lead to 14-5 after 1 quarter of play behind a strong defensive effort that led to 8 points off of turnovers. Roncalli cut into the deficit to trail by just 4 going into halftime at 19-15 but Fishers was able to sustain their defensive pressure pushing their lead back to 12 at the end of the 3rd quarter before finishing it off by the same margin. Leading the way for Fishers was Tylen Brown with 19 points and 6 rebounds with Jack Belt adding 12 points and 3 rebounds. Rounding out the Tigers offensive attack was Isaac Bowman with 6 points, John Entezari with 4 points, and both Chance Watts and Isaiah Boykin chipping in 2 points a piece.
In the Championship game, Fishers held off host Franklin Central to take the Tournament title by a score of 39-26 and pushing their record to 3-3 on the season. In an extremely efficient overall team effort the Tigers had all 9 players score at least 2 points with Isaac Bowman leading the way with 9 points followed by Kendall Johnson who added 6 points and 2 steals and both John Entezari and Tylen Brown chipped in 5 points a piece.
