The Lady Tigers JV team improved to a 3-1 this season by defeating Anderson 50-22 on Wednesday night. Fishers outscored Anderson 15-2 in the first quarter and never looked back. The Lady Tigers hit five 3-pointers on the night including two from Katie Howard. This is the second time in just four games where each player scored in the game. Katie Burton scored 10 points, Addie Arena and Howard both had 8 points while Katie Pallikan and Kaitlyn Feagan both had 7 points. Fishers have a break in action but will be back November 17th to face Westfield.

Game Recap

The Fishers Tigers upped their record to 3-1 with a 57 to 37 victory at home over Anderson. The Tigers used a 19 point third quarter to open up the game. Fishers had three players in double figures led by Toni Grace (20), Ali Gerka (13), and Tamia Perryman with 11 points and 14 rebounds. The Tigers next play Saturday against Lake Central at Valpo.

Game Recap

The Lady Tigers entered Saturday night to face a really good Ben Davis team. Both teams were victorious in the early games. This game was really physical and both team fought through adversity. The Lady Tigers struggled in the second quarter getting outscored 15-5 while Ben Davis took a 23-11 halftime lead. The Lady Tigers were able to trim the Ben Davis lead from 12 to 9 after the 3rd quarter. This set the stage for an exciting and entertaining 4th quarter from both teams. The Lady Tigers fought hard, every single player, to make a huge comeback. Fishers got it within four points with a couple minutes left but Ben Davis was able to hit a couple big shots to pull away. Both teams scored an amazing 18 points in the 4th quarter. This game will go down as one of the best JV games this school year. Katie Burton scored 13 points and Katie Howard added 5 points. The JV team will host Anderson on Wednesday at 6 PM.

Fishers Lady Tigers JV basketball improved their overall record to 2-0 after beating Southport 56-27 in their first game on Saturday. The Lady Tigers started the game out strong outscoring Southport 14-2 in the first quarter and never looked backed. The Tigers hit seven three pointers in the game including three from Audra Emmerson and two from Kaitlyn Feagan. Each Lady Tiger scored in the game. Three Fishers players scored double digit points: Emmerson with 13, Katie Burton with 11 and Feagan with 10. Addie Arena pitched in with seven points, Lucy Loy with six points and Katie Howard with 5 points.

In the Fishers Lady Tigers’ second games of the day, they defeated the Ben Davis Giant’s by the score of 54 to 41. Senior Toni Grace led the Tigers with 20 points and Tamia Perryman added 10 points. The Tigers finished the first half with a 24 point second quarter. This win moves their record to 2-1. Fishers’ next game will be at home on Wednesday against Anderson.

The Fishers Tigers defeated the Southport Cardinals at home by the score of 66 to 39. The Tigers jumped out to an early 19 to 8 lead to take command and used a 22 to 7 third quarter to expand the lead. The Lady Tigers were lead by seniors Kenedi London and Toni Grace with 20 and 18 respectively. Senior Ali Gerka also chipped in 11 points. This victory evens their record to 1 -1.

Game Recap

The Fishers Tigers defeated the Pike Red Devils to win the sectional championship. Pike’s offense was again fast paced, but the Tigers defense was up to the challenge all night. Fishers forced 3 turnovers and took advantage of great field position all night. Fishers will now host Ben Davis for the regional championship next week.

Game Summary

1Q

F – Isaiah Dunnuck 5 yd pass from Matt Wolff (Ben Norton kick)

The Pike Red Devils started the game with the ball but was forced to punt. Daniel Amadi had a great pass break up to force the punt. On the ensuing possession, Ben Norton pinned the Red Devils at their own 1 yard line. The teams then traded punts, but Pike muffed the punt and the Tigers recovered the ball at the Pike 8 yard line. Matt Wolff found Isaiah Dunnuck for the first score of the game.

2Q

F – Dunnuck 6 yd pass from Wolff (Norton kick)

After a turnover from each team, the Tigers put together almost a 7 minute drive. Wolff found Dunnuck on the same play as before for another touchdown to push the lead to 14-0 in favor of Fishers. The Red Devils put together a drive at the end of the half, but it was stopped with a big 4th down sack by Cam Field.

The Tigers threw an interception on their first drive of the half. Pike was able to capitalize as Jordan Garrett found Jalen Mack for an 8 yard touchdown to cut the lead to 14 – 7 in favor of Fishers. The Tigers answered right back with a nice drive. Collin Statz had a 20 yard 3rd down conversion but the rest of the drive was just short plays back-to-back. The drive ended with a 1 yard keep by Wolff.

4Q

F – Dylan Scally 1 yd run (Norton kick)

The Red Devils drove deep into the end zone to begin the 4th quarter but a dropped pass forced a turnover on downs and the Tigers got the ball at their own 8. Fishers drove and ate some clock, but was forced to punt. On the next drive, Seth Sontich forced a fumble and the Tigers recovered at midfield. Dylan Scally scored his first varsity touchdown to extend the lead to 28-7 in favor of the Tigers. Fishers was able to run out the clock to win their first sectional championship since 2011.

Game Recap

The Fishers Lady Tigers JV team began the season with a victory over Center Grove 36-24. The Lady Tigers started off strong by taking a 13-6 lead in the first quarter. Audra Emmerson hit two big three pointers and Katie Howard added another in the first quarter. Center Grove made a comeback in the 2nd quarter by going on a 11-5 run. Right before halftime, Regan Newman hit a three pointer at the buzzer to give the Lady Tigers a four point lead. The game was won in the third quarter when Fishers stepped up the defense and did not allow a point. Katie Burton was the leading score with 16 points. Audra Emmerson scored 9 points, Howard had 6 points and Newman added 5 points. The Lady Tigers are back in action Saturday when they play Southport and Ben Davis.
