Game Recap

The Fishers Lady Tigers battled host Westfield in the conference opener. After being down 29-23 at half the Tigers roared back to take a 40-36 lead going into the 4th quarter. Despite Toni Grace’s amazing 37 point performance Fishers fell short in overtime by the score of 60-66. The Tigers (6-2) will host Zionsville this Tuesday as they look to get back on track.

Game Recap

The Lady Tigers defeated host Valparaiso 50 to 44 in their second game of the Valparaiso Tip-Off Classic. For the second straight game Fishers used the defensive end of the floor to battle back in the second half, this time overcoming a 12 point third quarter deficit. The Tigers had a balanced scoring attack with Skylar Fulton(15), Toni Grace(14), and Kenedi London and Casey Walker with 11 each. This win improves the Fishers Tigers record to 5-1. They next see action Friday night at Westfield in the conference opener.

Game Recap

The Fishers Lady Tigers traveled to Valaraiso to take on Lake Central for the first game of two on the day. Fishers came out on top 42 to 38. The Tigers jumped out to an early 17 to 8 first quarter lead but on managed two points in the second. In the second half they battled back and forth with a very good Lake Central team. Using outstanding team defense, the Tigers held their opponent to just Four points in the fourth quarter. Fishers was led in scoring by Toni Grace and Kennedy London with 13 and 9 points respectively.
The Tigers return to the hardwood tonight at 8pm to take on host Valparaiso.

Game Recap

The Fisher Tigers fell to the Ben Davis Giants by a score of 50 – 7 in the IHSAA regional. The Giants offense was quick and effective all night and the Tigers could never keep up. The Tigers fall to 7-5 on the season but were winner of the Mudsock, a HCC championship and a sectional championship.

The Ben Davis Giants won the coin toss and chose to defer to the second half as the Fishers Tigers took the opening kickoff. On 3rd down, the Tigers wide receiver was tripped up and quarterback Jon Vore’s pass was picked off by Jontae Dobson. The Giants offense started slow but then put together 3 plays of over 14 yards as Johnny Adams fiinished the drive with a 1 yard touchdown. The Tigers were forced to punt on a 3 and out. Ben Davis took over in Fishers territory and used another quick drive to push the lead to 14-0 after a 2 yard run by Joey Person.

The Tigers ended the first quarter and started with possession in the second quarter. A fake punt by Seth Sontich kept the drive going as Fishers ate up yards and time but eventually turned the ball over on downs. The Giants then turned the ball over after a tackle for loss by Luke Thomas on 3rd down and an incomplete pass on 4th down. Fishers tried to get another drive going including a 4th down conversion but a sack on the new set of downs led to a Tigers punt. The punt pinned the Giants at their own 20, but Ben Davis drove down the field in only 5 plays as Adams found the end zone again and the Giants converted on point after to take a 22-0 lead. Georffrey Brown had a nice return to the Tigers 45 on the opening kickoff and Vore found Donavan McFarland to jump start the drive. The Tigers were ultimately forced to settle for a Ben Norton field goal attempt that was just short.

Ben Davis took the ball to begin the second half and quickly moved down the field as Reese Taylor found Broc Thompson on a go route for a 45 yard touchdown to move the score to 29-0. The Tigers put together a nice drive including a 4th down pass to Isaiah Dunnuck to keep the drive going. Jon Vore found Gregory King for a 8 yard touchdown to get the Tigers on the board. Ben Davis answered right back as the Tigers defense went for the bubble screen but the Giants wide receivers had all gone towards the end zone. Taylor found Jermaine Hoskins for a 39 yard touchdown. The Tigers got going again but the Sir’Zion Dance picked off Vore and returned it to the Tigers 17 yard line.

Ben Davis continued the scoring as Taylor found TieKwon Henderson to extend the score to 43-7 early in the 4th quarter. After a fumbled snap for a big loss, Taylor found Jermaine Hoskins for a 21 yard touchdown on 3rd and 2 from inside the red zone. The Tigers offense found Isaiah Dunnuck to get the Tigers driving but were ultimately forced to punt.
