Game Recap

Lady Tigers played host to Zionsville Eagles. Ladies came out tough and controlled possession I the first half. Ashley Ross, Lauren Erhlich, Gywn Milliken and Lauren Hege combined on several opportunities to score. Kate Michael, Grace Nettleton, Nicole Rueff and Alexis Manista worked the sidelines while Margaret Saul and Allison McGlynn kept midfield in check. Hard work out of Jenna Burow, Sophie Forrow, Allison Holt and Kylie Hurst disrupted the eagle attack. Quality minutes were had by Mac Ulrey, Elle Schnettgoeke, and Danielle Bellamy. Avery Murphy showed more improvements in the box. Unfortunately a direct from outside 18 founds its way into the goal when an Eagle was left unmarked.
Next game today against North Central.

Game Recap

The undefeated JV Tigers took the field fully committed to playing well and doing their part to go undefeated for the weekend. The defense played stingy, nasty, inspiring football. The offense played their most balanced game of the season that left little doubt that this game would belong to the home team. The Tigers had the opportunity for all players to participate in a resounding Saturday victory! The next JV game will be at Avon on Monday, September 28th.

In a matchup of high-powered offenses, the Fishers Tigers jumped out to an early lead with a 7 play, 72 yard drive. Jermaine Huddleston provided the big play with a 24 yard run that ended with him diving for the pylon but being stopped just short. Jeremy Chinn finished the drive with a 6 yard run. The Brownsburg Bulldogs put together a solid drive, but were then stopped on downs after two overthrown passes. The Tigers were then stopped on third down and forced to punt after a false start penalty. Taylor Soper had a 57 yard punt to start the Bulldogs at their own 12, but a good move by wide receiver Vincent Lismon got Brownsburg into Tigers territory and a scramble by quarterback Hunter Johnson got the Dogs to the 1 yard. Toks Akinribade finished the drive with a touchdown.

FHS (2:40) – Kade Orris 53 yd pass from Zach Eaton (Norton kick) 2 plays – 68 yards (20-14)

The Tigers answered with a 13 play scoring drive that finished the 1st quarter and went 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter. The drive was finished with a 1 yard run for Jeremy Chinn’s 2nd touchdown of the night. However, Brownsburg answer with their own long drive covering 80 yards in 10 plays. Akinribade scored his 2nd touchdown of the night as he cut across the field for a 22 yard run. Fishers next drive gained momentum and the Tigers had a first down, but a holding penalty on the play brought it back and a great defensive breakup by the Dogs forced a punt. Taylor Soper had another great punt for 52 yards that backed the Dogs to their own 22. The Bulldogs were driving, but pressure from the defensive line forced quarterback Hunter Johnson to leave the pocket and Zeke Dunnuck picked off the pass at the Tigers 31. On the first play of the ensuing drive, Eaton scrambled for 15 yards before finding Kade Orris with an amazing over the shoulder pass and catch for a 53 yard touchdown. The teams went to halftime with Fishers leading 20 to 13.

Jeremy Chinn scored his 3rd touchdown of the night with a 60 yard run. The Dogs answered with a 37 yard field goal from Devon Steinman after Hunter Johnson scrambled for 15 yards to get the Bulldogs into Fishers territory. The Tigers answered back after Tyler Denson recovered an onside kick. Penalties and a couple tackles for loss by the Dogs defense forced a 28 yard field goal by Ben Norton. The Tigers finished the 3rd quarter with a huge defensive stand that forced a turnover on downs from the Fishers 11 yard line.

Fishers used a long drive to use a lot of time, but were eventually forced to punt. The Bulldogs tried to bounce back as Akinribade scored his 3rd touchdown of the night with a 34 yard touchdown. Fishers gained possession and used a 10 play 72 yard drive to pull ahead by the final margin after Trevor Newman found the endzone from 21 yards out.
