Fishers High School
Westfield High School
The Freshman Tigers fell to Westfield Monday night by a score of 26-15. The first half was full of miscues and mistakes by the Tigers. A blocked punt and two turnovers led to three scores by the Shamrocks. Fishers went into halftime down 18-0, but the Tigers showed determination and passion in the second half. In the third quarter the Tigers outscored Westfield 15-0. Behind big plays from Shaun Kim, Reggie Cook, Lucas Prewitt, and Caleb Gates, the offense put together two scoring drives and converted a two-point conversion. As the game continued, Westfield was able to force another interception and stopped the Tigers on a big 4th down play. They were able to score once more and put the game away.
Defensively, Zach Pairitz forced a fumble and had two pass break-ups, Ryan Whitley had two sacks on the night, and Bobby Fox came up with an interception.
The Tigers look to finish their season on Saturday against conference opponent Zionsville. The game is at home and kickoff is 10am.
