Fishers High School
Westfield High School
The Fishers Tigers returned to HCC play as they traveled to Westfield to face the Shamrocks. Neither offense was strong in the first half as the teams combined for a turnover and five punts in the first quarter. Both teams scored in the 2nd quarter and the Shamrocks led 7-6 at halftime. In the 2nd half, the Tigers offense got going and the defense stepped up forcing 3 fumbles. Fishers quarterback Matt Wolff passed for almost 200 yards and 3 touchdowns on the night. The Tigers only ran for 100 yards on the night, but it was enough to keep the Rocks defense honest. The Tigers return home to host the Zionsville Eagles with a chance to clinch a share of the HCC championship next week.
The second to last regular season game started out as both teams offenses struggled to get going. Fishers had three punts and Westfield had two. The bright spot for the Tigers came as Emmanuel Davis had a strip sack that was recovered by Seth Sontich.

On the next drive, Westfield drove deep into Tiger territory before Davis again contributed on defense as he tipped a pass that was ultimately intercepted by Collin Shelton. Fishers gave the ball right back on a fumble that was recovered by Koby Hauser. The Tigers defense was stout again with great coverage on the 2nd down pass and a sack by Luke Thomas on 3rd down. Westfield however got the ball back at their own 42 with less than 2 minutes to go in the quarter. Nance found Kyle Pepiot for 42 yards to get to the Fishers 7 before Nance kept it himself to take a 7-6 Rock lead into halftime.

After a couple runs, Wolff found Jack Freeh in the middle of the end zone and then connected with Bryce Gee for the 2 point conversion to take a 14-7 lead for the Tigers. Westfield brought in sophomore quarterback Camden Simons who quickly connected with Kaleb Pettijohn for 31 yards. A false start and a couple incomplete passes forced a 47 yard field goal by Alex Bales. On the next drive, Wolff found a diving Collin Statz for a 37 yard gain to get inside the 10 yard line. Wolff found Isaiah Dunnuck wide open in the flat for a touchdown two plays later.

Westfield began a drive late in the 3rd quarter and put together a decent drive to midfield before the Tigers defense struck again. Emmanuel Davis recovered a fumble and Fishers took over leading 21-10 at the Rocks 31 yard line. The Tigers were able to run some clock before Ben Norton converted on a 29 yard field goal to extend the lead to 24-10. Any comeback attempt was thwarted when Daniel Amadi forced a strip sack that was recovered by Nick Douglas with just over 4 minutes remaining in the game. Norton connected on another field goal to extend the Tigers lead to 17 points.
