Game Recap

With this 2017 season winding down the Silver Lady Tigers traveled to Carmel to do battle with the Greyhounds. With a temperature of 89 at game time the ladies were enthusiastic. The start of the game saw a lot of back and forth action but the heat was the real battle tonight. Hayden Stamper, Emma Burns and Aleris Crum helped to maintain some level of possession while MacKenzie Boyer and Vivian Wilson worked the wings for scoring opportunities. With heavy legs and drenched in sweat Marlee Weaver and Emma Brinson played valiantly to hold off the relentless air attack. Goalie Abby Smith gets MVP award for the game holding off 30 plus shots on goal. Half was an opportunity just to get into the shade and regain some fight for the last 35. Hayley Brown and Brianna Cuahuizo came into spark the team with energy and contain the Greyhounds. Emilianna Castillo and Sage Heymann kept pressure on the opponent to produce some counter attack. Girls energy was draining but they still fought with Tiger Pride. Carmel with a bench 10 deep was able to keep fresh legs coming in. Laila Sappington who seemed ill affect by heat was trying her hardest to support her whole team all over the field. Jocelynn Nakhammoune and Ella Collesano worked in tandem to make runs into Carmel’s red zone. In the end the girls left the field relieved that the running was done and damage to morale seemed minimal. Last game is Tuesday at Brebeuf. Very proud of the effort with the difficult weather conditions and limited subs.
