Game Recap

Fishers Varsity Volleyball improved to 1-1 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference play with a 3-0 sweep of Noblesville: 25-21, 25-15, 25-16. The Tigers’ first home match since August 16th was a major success with the team hitting 0.347, collecting 48 digs, and terminating eight blocks.
Senior outside Mallory Hernandez led with 17 kills, and junior outside Audrey Haworth’s 16 were close behind. Junior setter Rose Duffy once again averaged at least 12 assists per set by tallying 36 tonight, and she now has 305 assists three weeks into the season.
Junior libero Emma Rosenberg led FHS in digs with 14, taking her over 100 digs for the season. Duffy was once again one of the Tigers’ top two defenders, collecting 10 digs and 3.0 blocks.
Helping Duffy defend at the net were both middles: senior Elizabeth Weeks (2.5 blocks) and junior Haley Soper (1.5 blocks).
The Tigers return to action Tuesday when Lawrence North visits FHS.
