Game Recap

The Silver Lady Tigers played host to the fierce Noblesville Millers on a calm summer night when the sweat bees were attacking in force. Several of the girls were battling the sniffles which did not help an already small reserve. The ladies took the field for what they knew was going to be a tough competition. When the Millers scored in the first five minutes the spirit to fight was deflated. Emma Brinson, Aleris Crum, Hayden Stamper and Marlee Weaver tried to regain some composure as the attack was relentless. Valiantly Abby Smith worked to protect her 24 by 7 rectangle, but the aerial barrage came in endless waves. Jocelynn Nakhammouane, Vivian Wilson and Hayley Brown disrupted some of the central attack. When the Millers chose to put it out wide then Mackenzie Boyer and Emiliana Castillo would turn them back. Sage Heymann and Brianna Cuahuzio provided much needed rest for players by continuing to apply pressure to the aggressors. The half ended with ladies scratching their heads and wondering how to crawl out of a three goal deficit. A little renewed energy was a welcomed sight in the second half. At the 15 minute mark Emma Burns was able to break free from the defense and slot Emilianna Castillo free for a perfectly placed ball into the goal. With a surge of adrenaline the Tigers fought back. Captain Laila Sappington led the charge by pressuring anywhere the ball was within reach. The morale of the Silver Ladies was high until a final blow from a headed corner. As the light were turned off on this dismal night so were the memories so we can start anew. Next game 9/5 vs. HSE. Good night ladies and we will fight another day.
